Fall Fun at Choice Orchards with AVA!

At Algoma Venture Academy (AVA), we believe learning happens best when students step outside the classroom and into real-world experiences. This fall, AVA students will head to Choice Orchards in Sturgeon Bay for a hands-on excursion that celebrates the season and sparks curiosity about where our food comes from.
What AVA Students Will Experience:
- Apple Picking: Explore the orchard and learn about how apples grow while picking fresh fruit straight from the trees.
- Agriculture in Action: Gain a deeper understanding of farming, local food systems, and the importance of agriculture in our community.
- Outdoor Exploration: Enjoy a day in the crisp fall air surrounded by the natural beauty of Door County.
- Teamwork & Bonding: Share this seasonal experience with classmates, making memories and connections that go beyond the classroom.
